I hope you don't mind me asking, but I struggle with finding the right topic for my master thesis. I am going to focus on Self-directed learning at the workplace, but since I need to do the research I cannot find the right question to ask, or what group should I focus on. Right know I circle around qualitative research at the workplace with the goal is finding the place for SDL at workplace learning, if the company educators work with SDL, what are the other education mechanisms they work with and if SDL is applicable at the workplace.
Have you done a research about SDL? If yes what was your focus point at research?

Hi, maybe you can type "Self-directed learning" in the Web of Science, and analyze the search results, then you can find what field is most assciated with SDL.
Or, you can use the Citespace or VOSviewer software to make an analysis. It will present the related hotspot in these years.
