I am trying to model a crash study of foam using the material model Crushable foam(63). However, the value of the foam's modulus is always revised when the model runs,and this severely affects the timestep. Is there a way to prevent this change in the value of modulus?

would you please give some more information about your problem and say what software are you using to simulate it? abaqus? or ansys?
your foam model must have used the damage model... the damage model reduces the stiffness depends on the strain on that element. This damage model usually requires a very small time step to go.
Some prospective solution:
use mass scale.. search google for this topic
or dont use the foam model... or maybe you can use other material model not foa 63.
also the contact between foam and other stiff material usually leads to smaller time stepping.
if you use LCID (curve) in mat 63 crushable foam with large changes of slope of the curve, the modulus (E) will be revised.
Sometimes, in order to avoid this problem, it's better to add more disperse point to refine the curve.
