Thank you Jennifer for your answer,  I have inactivated vaccine of foot and mouth diseae, I was test it by PCR. But did not get the band of genome FMD, my question is why inactivated could not use as positive control like live vaccine?

Mohammed, as a generalised answer i would say no. This is because depending on how the inactivation was done the genome is either destroyed or removed and hence no template for PCR to occur. Also are you performing normal PCR or RT-PCR? as FMDV is a ssRNA virus.
