This species was found in Gibara Bay (Northeastern Cuba), collected by a fisherman in a beach trawl in the mouth of a small stream (1.0 m depth). The family has 3 genus (Williams, 1993), but description it doest´n fit into any. Remarks: only 1/3 of the gastric with spininiform tubercles and pilose tufts;flattened  rostrum ornamented, subcuadrangular, with a median notch; upper surface of the tail fan with a rugose pattern.
