Hello.
I am trying to model a continuous casting process and I want to simulate the interaction between the metal and rolls in the 2nd cooling zone. The question is how to apply the force so that it's perpendicular to the concave and convex surfaces? The force should be applied to the surfaces through the rolls. I tried to do it through 2nd coordinate system to make the x-axis perpendicular to the surfaces and then apply concentrated force through RP. After I run analysis the warning tab shows "There are 2 unconnected regions in the model". After analysis is completed I keep getting error message "Time increment required is less than the minimum specified".
Could anyone please help me with this problem ?

If you You want to model cooling and thermal stress you should define a Coupled temp-disp step and thermal - mechanical contact between slab and moulds. you also can define the effect of water jacket and other components in this process.
If you mean to define fluid flow in ABAQUS I'm really sorry. Please tell me if you find it.
