My reaction mass contains traces of hydrogen peroxide which I want to degrade without any catalyst.
A possibility is that you wait for the hydrogen peroxide to dissociate.
Or depending on your reaction you can try to increase the temperature. Hydrogen peroxide is metastable and goes through an autothermal decomposition around 300°C.
Sudhakar,
You can quench H2O2 by adding methionine, or.any of a number of mild reducing agents such as bisulfite, thiosulfate, or hydroxylamine.
To degrade Hydrogen peroxide without using any catalyst by Use of UV radiation(Photo-degradation).
Sudhakar...... Hydrogen peroxide may be degraded by a manganato redox reduction using permanganate in acid solution.
Regards
H2O2 decomposed safely presence of enzymes catalase peroxidases.
