One of my friends wants to check the cotton fibre's degree of polymerization. This query was raised by one of their customers. Be so kind as to advise us of some standard commercially available method.
Dear Tariq Mansoor, techniques for the determination of MW are well known and many of them are used with native and modified polysaccharides such as cotton. Once the MW is obtained, then the DP is calculated with respect to the repeating unit and the percent of modification if any. Please have a look at the following free access paper. My Regards
