I am looking for an estimate of which percentage of the rainfall interception occurring in these 2 kinds of forest is due to shrub:
- temperate beech forest
- mediterranean deciduous oak forest
Will it be negligible? And if yes, both in the leafed and the leafless season?

We have some data for Tropical conditions (India), but not for Temperate or Mediterranean climate.
It may be negligible quantitatively, but not interms of net influences it may have on overall water partitioning or say the runoff . Interception is so far considered very tiny and negligible element of hydrologic cycle, but to the my way of thinking it happens to be the most sensitive and critical element, which needs to be taken care from changed perspectives.
But , Alice I would like to add here that shrubs have more interception , if its hydrological importance is considered. As rightly said by Murray, it needs region specific data, without which nothing can be said that either the temperate beach or Mediterranean oak, which has high interception and of what hydrological significance.
You may search observed data for these locations, I am sure answer for your good question hidden there.
