According to IBM support, IBM SPSS Amos is not available to Mac Operating System. Please see below:

SPSS works on MAC OS, however, SPSS AMOS doesn't. which means I am going to need an extra laptop with microsoft operating system. lets hope in the future that IBM and Apple inc. would make compromised solution about that. :)

Yes I know for SPSS but AMOS doesnt. My answer was for AMOS only.

However, I believe that mPLus needs an orientation or a course on how to use as I have understood. Hence, working on Microsoft operating system would be the better solution.

Try SmartPLS if you are working with correlation matrix.

Unfortunately, like many other proprietary software, Amos is not available for either MacOS or GNU / Linux distributions. The use of Amos is exclusive to Microsoft.

However, this may be somewhat good, because it forces us to learn from other software. Both Mplus and R (package "laavan") are excellent options and alternatives to the use of Amos.

The package "lavaan" of R and Mplus allow to make models with robust estimators (WLSMV, ULSMV, etc.) and to consider a matrix of tetrachoric / polychoric correlations as input. This is something Amos does not have.
