Recently I acquired two EELS spectrum images (low-loss and core-loss on the N-K edge) over cavities that contains molecular nitrogen (using a GIF Quantum). I have extracted the signature of the molecular N-K edge. Now, I would like to compare the ZLP and N-K edge integral intensities (intensity ratio) in order to obtain an absolute quantification of the nitrogen atoms.

The two SI's were acquired using the same illumination conditions but using different exposure times (0.005s and 0.7s) and vertical binning (1x and 130x). However, to compare them, we need to scale them on the same exposure time (ie multiply the N-K integral by 0.005/0.7), but it is still not clear for me if we also need for that to consider the different binning for scaling the intensities.

So, If anyone know how to compare EELS spectra acquired using different exposure and binning, his comment will be welcome.
