im recently very new to experimenting with nanoparticles and i would like to coat gold nanoparticle onto glass slide as well. I thought APS(amino silane) coated slides with positive charge would adhere to citrate stabilised GNPs. Will it adhere strongly and other biomolecules such as antibodies can be conjugated with the GNP on the slide surface after wards? Thank u
Yes, it should work. The adherence is relatively strong - nanoparticles can be washed away if you try to do it. Adherence will be better if ionic strength of solution is small.
For best results I would advice you to use coatings consisting of polyelectrolytes. With single layer it will be already much better, with several alternating layers of differently charged polyelectrolytes adherence will be very strong. You might even want to apply polyelectrolyte once after the deposition of nanoparticles, their surface still remain largely accessible. Polyelectrolyte layers are much more flexible than monolayer of silane, therefore they envelope nanoparticles and increase the contact surface. They should be also much cheaper. You still have to pay attention to the ionic strength of solutions/dispersions - keep it low.

Instead of APS, a thiol-ending silane linkers (e.g SH----SiH4) may provide more strong binding towards citrate-coated gold nanoparticles than that via amine-ends of APS. You would find a desirable surface chemistry when you learn some 'ligand exchange' in organic chemistry.
For better distribution functionalize the surface with silane with amine group and the coat by dipping in slide in solution.. also rinse with DI water before dipping.. the amount of nps on slide depends on concentration and time..

Then immerse the slides in your citrate capped gold nano particle solution. This way you will have the gold Nps anchor to the glass surface through thiol linkers. Then refunctionalize the exposed surface of gold Nps with thiol molecule of your choice and then link that to the biomolecule.

firstly follow proper cleaning method, it is very important then use any method to coat the nano-particles..
Anyone suggest me simple way(chemical method or possible to do in simple chemistry lab) to coat nanoparticles on micro slide glass plate for further application. After coating i am planning to explore the electrical property of nanomaterial. material = SnO2
