We have found clue cells in exudates from many chronic inflammation or infections, like vaginosis, prostatis, chronic urethritis, bronchiactatsis.. The picture showing leucoplakia tongue of a older female. Scraping of tongue surface shows clue cells. Patient was given operative treatment and symptoms abated.
