Hi Birte, According to specialty if you are not a doctor I would recommend regular clothes, some patients are less likely to trust someone in scrubs or white coats especially when it comes to mental health. It's my personal preference to dress casual and come off as superior or intimidating. So I choose clothes based on who I would be treating.

A culture might not allow a dress that is good for an individual's wellbeing. For example, one feels very comfortable in casual clothes, but certain professionals need more clothes to look prominent.
