Of course, the ideal situation is to create new cultivars that are both more resistant to abiotic factors (including climate changes, such as higher temperatures, falling rainfall, more frequent droughts, fires, etc.) and also more resistant to biotic factors (e.g. viral, bacterial, fungal and protozoal diseases and more and more frequent infestations of pests as a result of a decline in ecological balance and biodiversity). However, it is not easy to create new plant varieties resistant to both abiotic and biotic factors, even with the help of modern biotechnology and genetics. If it is highly expensive or practically impossible for certain types and species of crops, it is worth developing research in order to create, on the one hand, varieties of crops more resistant to abiotic factors (climate change) and, on the other hand, to create other varieties of crops for similar types and species of crops from which fruit and vegetables are obtained as more resistant to biotic factors (diseases caused by specific living organisms and viruses). The new cultivars that have been created, which are more resistant to abiotic and biotic factors, respectively, can be sown and cultivated, respectively, in cultivated fields in specific, adequate to the type of resistance, crops located in specific microclimate environments, in specific climatic zones, areas affected by specific atmospheric phenomena and periodic plagues pests, biological and ecological cycles of development of various living organisms. In addition, the determinants of the use in individual countries and economic regions of certain more or less resistant to various unfavorable external factors (abiotic and biotic) cultivars of crops also include the horizontal development of agribusiness technologies, soil quality, the level of acceptance of citizens for agricultural crops derived from plant crops genetically modified, the level of income of citizens and the level of pro-environmental awareness of citizens, including the need to live in conditions of ecological balance and lead a healthy lifestyle, etc. These issues also determine the possibilities of developing sustainable organic farming, within which new varieties of crops can be used more resistant to certain adverse external factors (abiotic and biotic).

I think what you have reported is ok. However, including biotic variable(s) will add a new dimension to your results, so I do recommend that. Cheers.

The crisis of climate change is an international issue. Climate changes include temperatures ,precipitation, pathogens, insects, salinity, floods,....However, every country and/or geographic region in the world will have a different situation. Those changes could be predicted by weather or climate specialists. So, their own private or public organization will do their breeding program towards that crisis. The solution is not as easy as it looks. Drought or salinity tolerance are governed by thousands of genes. CRISPR can't do any good for that. Conventional breeding is the best in these cases unless otherwise stated.Cheers.
