could be another stupid mistake, but I have edited all the necessary cell in the sample list, including inlet method, ms method, and try to run by clicking the start in the masslynx (4.0), but it is not really running, I checked, the 'pause' button is not clicked.
what did I miss?

In the right bottom part of Masslynx, the system has to show you a message (like "waiting for injection", or "waiting for a trigger"). Can you give us this message, please?
thanks, its shows 'waiting for inlet start1'. but the inlet (for masslynx, means pump) is running
OK, it is obvious that you need a trigger, maybe using the contact closure.
I have setted the contact closure at the pump editor figure as:
initial: contact 1, off;
0.05min, contact 1, on;
0.20min, contact 1, off.
And we connected the Event in 1 on the rear panel of the MS.
And also setted the 'event/trigger' in the 'tools/instrument configuration' as
'event out 1'
but still, not run.
anything wrong?

thanks josep. we found and sovled the problem. our seperate contact board is defective, we replaced it with another one and everything is OK now.
A useful update for those using Waters Acquity instruments, in case anyone stumbles across the same issue I recently experienced. If MassLynx doesn't trigger an injection but skips straight to acquisition (maybe not even acquiring any data) the best fix is to reboot the communication to the instrument. I achieved this using the following steps - hopefully they're universal!
Close MassLynx and all Waters-related programs.
Press start and type “telnet epc”
In the black window type “reboot” and hit enter.
Wait until the reboot is complete (takes around 5 mins) and re-open MassLynx.
