Dear Researchers,

I am currently working on a review article focusing on Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs), specifically highlighting the role of carbonate (CO₃²⁻) and bicarbonate (HCO₃⁻) salts in the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS). These inorganic species are increasingly recognized for their influence on radical pathways and transformation efficiencies during water and wastewater treatment. I am particularly interested in their mechanistic contributions, the formation of carbonate radicals, and their synergistic or inhibitory effects under various AOP conditions (e.g., UV, ozonation, Fenton-based systems).

I would be grateful if anyone could recommend comprehensive books, review papers, or recent research articles that explore the involvement of carbonates and bicarbonates in environmental remediation via AOPs.

Your guidance and suggestions will be greatly appreciated and acknowledged in my work.
