Hi,

I am trying to conduct a systematic review on a topic related to criminology. However, there are many databases and I am not sure if deliberately choosing some databases while omitting others is a wise strategy to do this. Upon reading other articles on systematic reviews in criminology, some selected articles from up to 15 databases, while there are others that only choose articles from two databases. And there are some articles that did not even tell what databases that they used to search the articles.

What are the (acceptable and publishable) norms when it comes to choosing databases for a criminological systematic review? Since Ebscohost also contains a few major databases, would it be OK, in your opinion, to only search for articles there?

Your assistance is much appreciated and thank you.
