Does any of you have any experience in synthesis of cholesterol monohydrate crystals_? If so - what is your preffered protocol. I use to start with protocol involving boiling acetone and addition of water, howerver I fail to qachieve small crytals (nanometers - 100 or so) after filtration, because I get to many huge crystals.

An y thoughts on influence of number of crystallization cycles on crystal siyze I mean - more cycles of recrystalization than bigger/smaller crystals will fomr_
