Hello,

I have a question regarding statistics and choosing statistical test.

My research question is whether certain medial procedure affects concentrations of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in patients blood samples (measured concentrations pre-intervention and post interventions). I needed to use non parametrical test so I chose Wilcoxon signed rank test - using SPSS and then GraphPad Prism to check if calculations are correct I found out the tests have different outcomes.

I think the reason of different outputs is that one software uses Wilcoxon matched-pairs signed rank test and another one uses only Wilcoxon signed rank test. Which one seems more appropriate in this situation?

Here for explanation how the test are performed https://www.graphpad.com/guides/prism/latest/statistics/stat_the_wilcoxon_test_can_refer_to.htm

Thank you all for any help and suggestions
