Supposed I have established that there is a correlation between one variable (e.g gender) and another (e.g love to dance), how would I decide which gender is correlated with love to dance? eg being females are associated with love to dance? What value do I look for?

second question, if I were to build a table on the correlation above (gender vs love to dance), which percentage is more relevant, the row percentage, or column percentage?
