I'm currently looking into documents about chemical safety in general as a potential focus on my graduate thesis, but I lack experience in teaching chemistry to get more familiar with chemical safety at the high school level (grades 7-12, especially 11-12).
I'd like to ask for your thoughts on what chemical safety practices did you implement when handling chemistry classes at the high school level and which practices are you aware of but did not implement (maybe it was not applicable, etc.).

The American Chemical Society has always been involved in improving safety in laboratories from educational institutions to industrial companies. They have excellent FREE resources to guide and assist educators. From a stand-alone booklet that is continually reviewed and updated to online short courses, you can get as involved as you like.
