I coated several layer of swcnt on glass substrate and checked the resistance and continuity using DMM. After several layers the resistance decreased from several Kilo ohms to 1k ohm (distance between two probes varying in cm) but DMM doesn't show any beep sound. So what does it mean? Is it not working ? Is this the right method to check the resistance?

The DMM is working as I checked it with ITO coated glass showing the continuity beep, but in case of CNT coated glass no sound beep.

why do you focus on a 'beep' from the DMM?
Look at the ohm display. This is the number you look for.
To my opinion a 'beep' is attached to some threshold (propably a current threshold for continuity check). Please have a look at the manual for setting that threshold for the beep function.
