Unfortunately the Crawdad homepage from Kevin Dooley and Steven Corman is down as of November 2013.

Which other software can you recommend?

If you want to do that specific kind of text analysis, I think you're out of luck. As you note above, the software is no longer commercially available. There are other kinds of network text analysis and semantic network analysis. I can think of a few options that you might consider. Send me an email at starling at mit dot edu and I'll provide you with some links and a few papers.
