I wonder how to effectively stain cellulose nanofibers for improved resolution in TEM (120 kV). Recipes would be highly appreciated and possibly micrographs. Anyone compared different methods?
120 kV does not have sense. 80 kV (conventionally used for NS samples) is enough. The problem is not in "optical" resolution. Support film thickness and staining are more important. I strictly recommend to use the ultrathin formvar films:
