I am trying to solubilize cellulose in solvents but it is not soluble in any of them, i know about ionic fluids but they are toxic for biological applications.

I do not know if you aware of the fact, that there are more possible ionic liquids than are people on this planet. As such, saying that ionic liquids are this or that, is the same as saying people are blond, or people are fat, or people have blue eyes. This is just not scientific. There are ionic liquids, among which EMIM OAc which are non toxic and which dissolve cellulose pretty well.
