I am currently working on the cellulose extraction from the plants which needs the use of sodium chlorite to get rid of lignin. The sodium chlorite will produce chlorine dioxide which is the main role in bleaching but it is toxic. I was wondering if someone can explain to me how to set up the apparatus like how to make it completely sealed and how to filter it out after the bleaching is done without exposure to the chlorine dioxide vapor?
