Hi
I am screening multiple SNPs and initially, I applied an additive model on genotype data and a few SNPs showed risk association and 2 of them showed a protective effect.
after this, I did heterozygosity testing to determine if a single copy of the allele is enough to have a risk effect.
but I have a little confusion if someone guides me in interpretation.
example :
After the additive model, one of my SNP showed
OR=0.81
C.I = 0.76-0.86 , P= 1.98E-10***,
when I did heterozygosity test
OR= 1.16
C.I=1.07-1.25
P= 0.00016 ***
In the additive model, it showing no risk association and in the heterozygosity test, it shows that a single copy of the allele is risk associated? Is this possible or there is a mistake in interpretation?
