As a public health specialist , i am looking after the preventive aspects , health education , screening and surveillance .......so yes to a extent my job is related to my academic specialization
I find that many academic training programs are very broad and prepare you only for a type of logical thinking whereas your final job or occupation is very specific and might represent only one very small aspect of your training and knowledge.
Thank you for raising this interesting topic of discussion.
I am a PhD in General Management. At present, I am working in an institute where I have to look after general management. So, my career and academic specialization are in sync with each other.
