I'm having trouble with PopART. I can import my nexus alignment file, but can't get the trait block to work. I have followed the example given for formatting, but nothing shows up in the traits tab when I import. I also tried importing the example files and in those traits showed up... really frustrating. Let me know if you got it working please

Difficult to help without seeing the file. If you can operate on the command-line, I have a Python script called makePopArt.py (https://github.com/tkchafin/haploTools) which you can use. You will need to provide a tab-delimited table mapping sample names (matching sequenced in a FASTA or Nexus file), and it will generate the properly formatted PopArt input for you.
