We have simulated the CC of potatoes using the AquaCrop model in a semi-arid region. We have also measured leaf are index (LAI) in different days during the season; but we did not measure CC in the field during the season. Now, we are looking for some experimental relationships between canopy cover and leaf area index relationships for potato, preferably developed in the arid and semi-arid regions to convert the simulated CC to simulated LAI. We can then compare the simulated LAI with the observed LAI.
I appreciate any hint and clue.

Thank you. I have already read this paper but no such relationship is given in it.
The relationship between CC and LAI is usually in the form of an exponential rise to a maximum (LAI on the x axis and CC on the y), with LAI increasing more rapidly than CC, as the above paper mentions. So you could fit your simulated CC values to this model, which would then provide estimated LAI values. You could also measure CC in the field to create your own graphs :)
