We are using the real-time cyclers Applied Biosystems model 7500 for our qPCR measurment. The issue is that we have gotten a order with the wrong format of 96 well plates, we got plates designed for Roche® LightCycler® 480.
The plates for the Roche® LightCycler® 480 have the frame cut corner at H12 and for the Applied Biosystems model the frame cut corner is at A1. If you rotate the plate, it will physically fit in the machine and the machine can run the plate. But will the result be reliable?
With other words; can you use 96 well plates designed for Roche® LightCycler® 480 in a Applied Biosystems model 7500?
