After centrifugation, should I use the supernatant or the residue? I am asking because after centrifugation in the preparation of GO, the solution with water was a brown colored supernatant with a black colored residue. But does GO means brown colour only? What should I do? I took the black colour residue only & washed out the supernatant. Is this correct or not? Can you suggest how to proceed from here?

at the end of the synthesis process reaction mix looks yellow colour. you are getting black colour means oxidation process was not happens. It needs 9000 rpm to get clear supernatant
Yes Mr. Sridhar my reaction mix is in yellow colour only but i centrifuge it in 6000 rpm only. What is the difference between 6000 & 9000 rpm?
