I want to make a coat my polyurethane slides with a coating that will make them more hydrophobic. I've seen people use fluorosilanes on silicone and glass but wasn't sure if this would translate to polyurethane as well.
You can pre-treat the PU surface by plasma treatment to activate the surface and them deposit organosilicon coating by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition PECVD. For example hemamerhyldisilixane. You may look to there publications ( see beliw)
