You can solve the problem using a good structural geological map. A quaternary tectonic analysis can also help... A quaternary tectonic analysis can also help you... The large geological structure of Íraq is very clear, based on this you can decide quite well how to plan the buildings... What kind of building, where to plan, how the building's foundation should be designed. I once had a vision of how to build an earthquake-proof building, approx. two years ago. In the territory of Iraq, I do not know how far the carbon hydrogen fields were buried, because have to exists large nonconventional fields of Hydrocarbon, and it is likely that you should also take this into account in your work.

here they produce almost as 6-8 Million Barrel per day ?
the process of sea-water injection (oil volume-substitute) is questionable !!
and many changes start to appear in seismic activities ...
Also no recognized INT-institutions that made updated seismological-map to Iraq or central region (Baghdad )

it has already been demonstrated that earthquakes have an essential role in the concentration of fluids in the basement and... not only that! there are also other ... benefits!.. for example, without earthquakes ... there would be no more water springs!.. the others.
nature is still trying to teach us that we are... whether we like it or not... its "subjects/slaves"! we have to learn to live in it!
