I uploaded a preprint containing a full description of a new interstitial-ice model for pure water. This model challenges the mainstream water models and can have an important impact on our understanding of water. The model is based on existing ice models and is a solid state approach to liquids. Liquids are mostly seen as more random (gas-like) systems, a misconception that is the reason for our limited view on their potential.
