What about simple cellulose (viscose)? Polyvinly alcohol or polyvinly pyrrolideno might also be used, as well as supeardsorbents used in diapers (crosslinked polyacrylic acid, partially neutralized by bases).
@ Mr. Victor ponce, No base is polyester/viscose fabric.
@Mr. Gyorgy Banhegyi- yes, the base is viscose fabric blended with polyester but wicking properties are not so good in that. So I am looking for some hydrophilic polymer which can be padded on the fabric to improve the same. superabsorbents can not be padded.
@ Ms. Niccoletta Barbani- Thanks for your suggestions but in my requirement, Excellent wicking properties are needed so that absorbed water can be spreaded on more surface area so can be easily evaporated.
