Can you optimise a mitotracker by culturing it on a cover slip ?

Hi all,

I have performed a deep red mitotracker in 24 well plate using the water immersion model. However I got a very blurry staining.

I was wondering if it would make a difference if you culture the cells on a cover slip, followed by using oil immersion?
