I'd need the ID for this gastropod. This gastropod was collected by my colleague in the freshwater zone of the estuary. Anyone working on this species?
This looks more like a land snail rather than a freshwater species, possibly Subulinidae?
I agree with Anna M. Holmes. This shell appears to be of terrestrial gastropod.
It is a terrestrial species yes! surprisingly was found clustered in the freshwater zone of the estuary probably, washed away in water currents from torrential rains!! Thank you Anna and Araujo...
It resembles the terrestrial Cerion uva, a common and ubiquitous species I found on some Caribbean islands - but not quite. Maybe this helps you to find the direction in which to search.

Supposing you're talking about India, it should be the genus Zootecus, perhaps the species Z. insularis.
