Please let me know if you have been able to resolve the problems that arise when trying to install Scribner ZView software on a Windows 11 computer using the USB license dongle.
As you know, ZView software is used to analyse electrochemical impedance spectroscopy data.
When I try to activate the software licence, a warning message appears on the Windows 11 system, indicating that the Rockey4.exe ZView driver does not meet the Windows 11 security standards.
This means that the user has to turn off the PC's kernel protection. We can temporarily turn off the PC kernel protection to activate the ZView licence, but it would be important to turn it back on afterwards to keep your system safe.
The problem is that the only way I have found to re-enable the PC kernel protection has been to uninstall the Rockey4.
I would be grateful if you could let me know if you have been able to solve this problem.

I am not familiar with the details of your particular situation; however, that same general situation is faced in many labs. The computers or operating systems that support the data acquisition hardware are not compatible with the stricter security needed in order to be attached to the broader network. So, what is one to do? It might be possible to spend a lot of money to upgrade the computer and software, but many times that is not practical.
Many times the best solution is to firewall the older computer behind another computer with enhanced security. That is the case for at least two computers in our lab. One runs an SEM; the other runs a diffractometer. Both older computers are still running Windows XP. The firewall computer has an extra network card that only connects to the XP computer. The old computer can save data to a file share on the firewall computer. From there, it can be shared to the broader network.
I suggest that will allow you to work around your issue.
