I am currently pursuing my Ph.D. in fisheries, Can you assist me with knowing how to apply R in fish modeling as this would help me in analyzing my data. If there is any opportunity to use your lab too I will be very grateful.
In order for the community to help you, you should be more specific. R is a programming language, not a model. You can create any model using R.
Define the kind of model that suits your needs, learn a bit of R. Afterwards, if you still have a problem, describe it as precisely as you can, and people will help you.
If you are interested in modelling fish growth following VBGF, and subsequent estimations of mortalities, stock size and reference points, I will recommend you check an R-package called TropFishR. With some fundamental understanding of R language, you would be able to use for modelling fish population dynamics. Good luck.
