Our team found this sponge in San Pedro Bay, Leyte, Philippines. The pictures of the sponge is in situ condition and in terms of morphology, the sponge is dark brown in color and is tubulo-digitate. I've been searching in the internet and I still could not identify the species.
I'm afraid people will probably need a lot more information than those pictures, unless they've ben diving in the same place and happen to know it personally... Is it a keratosan, or spiculate? If there are spicules, what sort, and what arrangement? The body form reminds me of some Raspaillia species, but that's a complete guess.

It looks like a Demospongiae. But I agree, you need to take a look at the skeleton. The quick and dirty way would be to tear a small piece, put it between a slide and cover-slide and look with an optical microscope! Does it have spicules or not? or spongin fibers? or both? Then take pictures of what you see and upload them here. We might be able to help you more then.
