Since Silver does not have inter-band transitions in the visible range, the dielectric properties can be estimated by Drude model without taking into account any Lorentzian terms for interband transitions. Since conductivity is the direct consequence of free electrons, which is also easy to measure, is it possible to estimate the dielectric functions using the Kramers-Kronig relationship?

the conductivity of a material is related to the imaginary part of the dielectric function eps2 (permittivity). If sigma is the Drude cunductivity, we would have eps2 = sigma/(eps0*omega). eps0 corresponds to the permittivity of the vacuum and omega = 2*pi*f with f the frequency.
The real part of eps is related to the refractive index and is not related to the Drude conductivity. This value has to be determined separately.

Both the above answers correctly pointed out that the conductivity is related to the imaginary part of the dielectric constant. So my question is: can we use Kramers-Kronig relation to find the real part from the imaginary part..
