In general, for measuring transport number of ions in solid electrolytes, blocking electrode method is used to estimate electronic current. Solid electrolyte is sandwiched between reversible electrode and blocking electrode (blocking ionic current). Can we use both sides blocking electrodes (electronically allowed and ionic blocking) to estimate the electronic current? Give me the references if so.

For if it is working: yes under some assumptions.
You know the transference number is normally the part one ionic species carries of the complete electric current. By using blocking electrodes (blocking for one sort of charge carriers) to measure this value, you can apply a constant potential and then monitor a current over a longer time:
In the beginning your 'blocked' charge carriers are rearranging, until at some point they are in equilibrium und the remaining current is from the other carriers (supposedly electrons). But that only works under die assumption, that you only have 2 charge carriers, where the electrodes are blocking for one species, but not the other.
Dear all.. thanks for your quick answers. As far as all the literature is concerned, people use reversible electrode at one end and blocking electrode at other end. The question is in order to measure electronic current in a solid electrolyte, why one has to use reversible electrode at one end?
Why can't we use both side blocking electrodes
We avoid both side blocking electrodes due to noise coming from many other sources (side reactions in a long time scale).
