Presently we are developing anerobic batch fermentation for understanding the impact of plant isolates at gut microbiome level. Fecal samples are dominantly used for acquiring health gut microbiome, but can we use "gut microbiome whole cell mix (MSA-2006™)" in place of fecal sample. We just want to know how practical it is to use this cell mixture to understand dysbiosis or assessment of bacterial byproduct production. Please suggest your kind opinion.
