I work on chem-e-cars and cannot find a good source to supply the required energy to launch the armature. In making chem-e-car, you cannot use a source of energy that pollutes the air with toxic gases or liquids and the source must not have an unpleasant effect on the environment. The purpose of this is that you must design a car with chemical materials that has the lowest unpleasant effect on the environment and helps us to have a better life on earth.

two possible ways come to my mind:
1) have multiple batteries series connected to get a sufficient voltage level or
2) install a step-up converter to boost those 1.1V to the 5V you desire.

I series this batteries and got good voltage about 9V but my armature doesn't work, i think my series have a small problem that waste energy and do not give suitable current for launching!
we can not use electric equipment in our car for supply our energy.
All batteries have specific "crank" current which changes with battery size (capacity) and chemistry. Maybe a small supercapacitor might be solve your problem. And you might be able to recharge it with a small PV cell.
