Happiness does not teach a concept and a good life, but skills can be taught the correct understanding is And as people better understand the realities of life and to act on their own responsibility and respect for others will certainly more satisfaction and sense of shamans.
While it is difficult to teach happiness but the people can be made aware of their "self" and the concept about the body consciousness and soul consciousness. Happiness is a state of mind and nothing to do with material resources. It has to be sought from within.
I used to ask my freshmen to read bits of various classic texts that invoked happiness and then write first about exactly what the term meant to the author(s) and then about whether that sort of happiness was worth pursuing. It may not have given them a path to happiness, but it seemed to make them more mindful of the complexity of the questions.
Happiness is an ART as for it brain's holistic picture part is needed to be happy. In the mean time happiness is a SCIENCE as brains logical part is needed to understand what and why one event is happening . To get stimulated happiness ( for example sexual Pleasure) some time neither of above may be needed. Nerves stimulation alone is enough. There is an interesting project on happiness as a school subject that recently started in Germany. Maybe you would like to read about it (there is at least one report about it in English):
I think there is some teaching on effective behavior, stress management and some psychological therapy regarding keeping one's attitude positive. It can at least anti depressant if not happiness.
Dear Prof, you are asking 'Can we teach Happiness?' I have come to a simple conclusion that when I discipline myself to do my many duties, I am truly happy.
To be happy is a health condition. This is similar to have courage to do work. We can teach a person how to eat to have energy, to have the amount of hours of sleep, but we can not teach them how to be motivated to do work. Same is with happiness. We teach someone about the values of life, the beauties and yet he may not be able to recognize these motives. All that will create the means for a healthy body to rejoice, but it will not make the person happy.
I don't think that one can be taught to be happy. Happiness is a state of mind that should come from one's inner self. it is made up of pleasure, engagement, and meaning and its level varies from person to person. Happiness of a person depends on several factors such as love and recognition he gets from family, peers and society, achievements and accomplishments in the personal and official life etc.

Happiness, according with the Bible, is a promise of God father to all who fulfills the fourth commandment of His Law: "You will honour to your father and to your mother".
Though happiness can't be taught but it can be inculcated in the organisation e.g. at Adventure's Mumbai office they start the day with five minutes of dance. I saw that video too and I can see their happy and joyful faces.
