I'm trying to apply the Taguchi method to improve the injection parameters of a plastic article.
I was planning to start with a Plackett and Burman design to deduce the most influential parameters and then use the Box-Behnken design to find the optimum values of the parameters.
Is it possible to make a Taguchi design based on the most important parameters deduced from the PB design instead?
Honestly I don't see how you could skip the RSM stuff if your goal is optimization of anything. For a quick introduction see Montgomery Design and Analysis of Experiments the RESPONSE SURFACE SECTION. You might want to try the z-library as well best wishes David Booth

Hi Sarah, so happy to see your question since I am doing the same way now as you said! However, I have encountered some doubts when implementing this idea (Taguchi method followed by PB desing), and it is very rare to see friends who have the same idea as me, so I really hope you could give me some advice.
PB design is a two-level experiment, but at the same time, the taguchi method I want to do is also a two-level experiment so I am very confused about the difference between the level selection of these two experiments. But it seems not reasonable enough to do two experiments on the same factor levels. So I really hope you could give me some advice, thanks soooo much!!!
