This project is based on renewable source of energy and we know that this energy is inexhaustible which reduces the dependence of power generation from fossil fuels which leads to the emission of harmful poisonous gases that results in degradation of the environment. Our project is an effort to produce electricity without degradation of environment.

The operation is based on Brayton cycle. In this project, we use two cycles, water cycle in which water is used as working fluid and ammonia cycle in ammonia is used as working fluid. In water cycle, water is heated in parabolic solar collector by absorbing solar energy. This hot water is supplied to heat exchanger in which heat is transferred from hot water to ammonia. The superheated ammonia is passed through nozzle in which pressure energy of ammonia is converted into kinetic energy which further increases velocity of superheated ammonia. The high velocity ammonia strikes the turbine blades in which expansion of high temperature ammonia takes place .A generator is coupled with the shaft of the turbine which converts mechanical power generated due to rotation of turbine blades into electrical energy. The expanded ammonia gas is cooled in condenser which is further compressed in compressor in which pressure of ammonia increases. The compressed ammonia is supplied to heat exchanger where it again gains heat from water .The water after transferring heat to ammonia ie supplied to solar collector.
