In the explanatory part to your question, you talked about helping each other. I remember as an undergraduate student, I was told by one of my classmates that a society gets developed when someone gives help and someone else takes that help and this cycle goes on and on. So we researchers should help each other. That would contribute in maintaining the continuity of the civilization.
You have requested to provide topics of research regarding translations. Let me tell you that I am from the city of Kolkata in India. This city is a city of novels and novelists. Most of these have been written in the Bengali language, which is the vernacular language of this part of the world. A translation of these gemstones in English would enable the rest of the world also to enjoy reading them. So a research may be pursued about how to get going with their translations and whether their translations would be accepted by readers from across the world.

It is definitely possible to suggest and brainstorm topics within any field, but it is also important to keep in mind that translations studies is a wide field, and any topic can be generated within a sub-field from different theoretical frameworks.
One of the helpful tools I have found for searching current work is RG, and Google Scholar. Once a researcher has decided the topic or area of study, it is much easier to narrow it down.
Having said that, I think many areas within translations studies are important to look into eg how websites present their profiles in different languages, the discourses, semantic analysis etc.
I can suggest the following topic for new researchers:
"The effect of translation theories on the student's performance with special reference to literary translation"
The research can be conducted by making a questionnaire throughout the whole study semester before and after introducing theories of translation to students.
Being a researcher, it’s our duty to help our peer-scientists by giving the suggestions in the same field of research. It increases the confidence of budding researchers.
