Yes, I see no reason not to! It is axiomatic that people with similar interests will form stronger bonds. They may agree or disagree on issues, yet their arguments will add value to the argument.
It depends. The circumstances and identity of personalities determine when solidarity is needed, and when discussion, debate and contradictions in conclusions are necessary.

I think so. It 'very important to create strong bonds of friendship and esteem among all members of a research group. But it is even more important that all team members can identify themselves in a leader and work for the success of the group as a single entity without selfishness.

Yes definitely - following each others in RG enables the building of a relational environment so that everyone can interact or socialize among each others according to their preferences or interests.

I strongly subscribe to Jasenko Karamehic and Christina Saint Germain Bergquist 's answers·. However, though, it is very important to follow each other, it should not be with the sole intention of building reputation on researchgate and the likes. Such must purely be exercised with an intention of finding common and most economic solutions to varieties of problems in our immediate and distant communities.
